DESCRIPTION:Ground Rigging is not available for signing up. Those that are on the list will be notified by e-mail when their name comes up for the class. To be eligible for the Ground Rigging class you must pass the Ground Rigging pretest. Those that pass the pretest will be offered a slot in a class based on the date they passed the test. \n\nFollowing Ground Rigging\, I will offer those that complete the course the opportunity to continue with Bucket/High Rigging. This is done as a 3-day class and will be discussed during the Ground Rigging class.

If you are on the Temp/Over Hire list with Local 720 and are selected to become a regular referent you will receive an e-mail with instructions to RSVP for the class. \nWho it’s for: This class is required for all New Referents to the IATSE Local 720 Dispatch System \n1. New Referents must complete NEW REFERENT ORIENTATION and present a certificate or card indicating they have completed an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 course\, as part of the initial processing required to become active in the Local 720 Dispatch System. Nevada Law requires that technicians in the entertainment industry have OSHA General Industry or Construction certification. Training offers both OSHA 10 and 30 General Industry classes from time to time\, at no charge\, but you must have had a work call through Local 720 to be eligible. If you are not eligible or don’t want to wait on the class you can also try SCATS of Nevada at www.4safenv.state.nv.us or one of the many online classes. I suggest one of the following for online classes: \na. OSHA 10 only – careersafeonline.com and select the OSHA 10 General Industry class. \nb.
